Anwalkheda

Aanwalkheda village is the birthplace of Gurudev Pandit Shriram Sharma Acharya Ji. It is about 12 miles on Jalesar road from Agra, which is a city of Uttar Pradesh State of India. The birthplace of Gurudev has become the pilgrimage place of this era. Even now the well dug by Gurudev and the neem tree planted by him are still existing reminding us Gurudev's memories.

Gurudev had established here in the memory of his mother the Mata Dankunvari Inter College. This college is producing since 1963 so many brilliant students, who became self reliant and achieved high positions in society. In 1979-80, Gurudev had established Gayatri Shaktipeeth here as well as started Inter College for girls. This institute has now become a very big college for women. In 1995, the first Purnahooti Samaroh was accomplished here in which about half a million people participated. On this occasion, the Prime Minister of India dedicated a pillar of monument at the birthplace of Gurudev to common people.

The Prime Minister also declared Aanwalkheda as an ideal village. In Aanwalkheda, the public hospital named after Mata Bhagwati Devi is also established. And to get more information please contact Gayatri Shakti Peeth Vatika.
